How did everything turn out? I just recently put my male betta in his own tank (had some thining fins) during his stay in the hospital tank I used betta revive to repair fin rot he had -if thats what it was - anyway his tip looked identical to yours and I had never seen anything like it before so I also worried about fungus but it healed perfectly and hes as healthy as a horse so im wondering if perhaps thats pretty normal. Took about three days.

Yup a happy ending for me too. The next day it was gone and ive been vigilant with my water changes. No med required and no moving to another tank. Less stressful.
