I found one of my platys stuck to the filter intake this morning, I shut off the filter and he fell down to the bottom of the tank.
He's in a 10g hospital tank now by himself. I figured he would die quickly, it's been about 3 hours and he looks full of life. He's moving his side fins trying to level himself but he can't, he's stuck at the bottom of the tank. What should I do?

On hand I have melafix, mardel quick cure, and aquarium salt. But I can run to my LFS if necessary.

Beautiful fish, I hope he recovers..

Depends on what's wrong with him. For the moment, keep the water in the hospital tank cleaner than clean - 50% changes everyday, if you can.

What are the water stats on his usual tank?

ammonia - 0
nitrites - 0
nitrates 20 ppm
pH 7.6 - 7.8
temperature is kept at about 77

The hospital tanks water is pristine right now, I'll do tests/water changes on it tomorrow regardless.
my platy is still in the same condition. he's moving around the bottom of the tank using his side fins but he's struggling. Still very much alive.

I got him atleast a month ago so it's not likely pet store related.

Still active but unable to swim (2 days later)
I'm going to try feeding him a pea.
