Platy Fry

I Believe I have a couple pregnant Platy. I bought one male and three females I believe at least two were pregnant when I got them. I don't really have a big enough tank for the 40 to 60 Fry they can have at a time. I know the other fish in the tank and the parents will eat the fry but I was wondering if instead of allowing the fish to eat them, if places like Petsmart or Petco will buy them from you?

Well i live in the uk and from what ive heared i wouldnt take my fish there tbh

They won't buy them, but they may take them off your hands. Better go to a LFS and see if you can get store credit for em!

My LFS won't even take them for free unless fry is old enough to be sold soon (which is at least a couple of month old). Also if you call them they always say no, irrespectively, so just go there with the fish if you want to try...

well i have a deal with my lfs that i trade my fry for other fish or equipment i trade some platy fry recently for a red lizard whiptail pleco
