Hi
Last couple of times I have visited my local fish shop
I have come a way with some platys
Not the sort of fish I normally go by but for some reason they have stuck to me
All of the platys look a little different eg slight shape and colour difference I have one male and 5 females
Will he breed with the other different colours/shapes
Any answers would be great
Thanks

Yes, your male will breed with any and all of the females; it doesn't matter what shape or colour they are :good:

Right o
He seems to be sticking to the same colour female as him lol
Maybe his picky
Thanks

Once she is up the duff he will move on to the others. lol. Then you will have a tank full of Platies. lol.

True! Livebearer males are the most unpicky fish ever; they don't even care if the female is the same species, let alone the smae colour, lol!

Some might make it but I think my other fish will have free lunch

Unless this is your main objective then that is probably the best thing to do. Just let nature take it's course. If they survive, then fine, but if they get eaten then don't worry. Platies will also cross breed with Swordtails and will spend all day chasing a female guppy. lol.

Yes minnt I think I'll leave them there the only livebearers I have so nature will take it's course 
