Platies Gills Lookes Swollen

Hello just looked in on my tank now and it looks like one of my platies gills are swollen (Can't be sure tho might just be the way im looking at her) Any idears wht this could be and how to treat it if she has got it.

Update last night looked in and there she was on the bottom of the tank dead took her out and her gills were realy inflamed and red so i have took the others out and put them in another tank does any 1 have any idear what could have do it?. Karen.

It could be high levels of ammonia in your tank? Did you cycle your tank correctly and do you do regular water tests on Ammonia etc?

Ammonia can cause reddening and burning of the gills and impair the ability of a fish to absorbe oxygen in the water...

Yeah i done every think right and as i would usualy do it, Ony one died tho he other 3 are fine.

Need water stats as poor water quality can cause red and inflamed gills, so post stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
Also it could be gill flukes red inflamed gills, also can look like they are bleeding, laboured breathing, and flicking and rubbing against objects.

done my tests and all are normal, Dont no wht it was that killed her she was hiding round plants for 2 days before she died she never normaly did this.
