Plants With Natural Sunlight Only.

I decided to use an old tank I had laying out in the shed to grow some plants. I couldn't find the hood so didn't bother getting a light for it, just decided to try it out. Its in half sunlight, I mean half of the tank has natural light all day as its sitting on the kitchen work top.
I have a number, about 10-12 MTS in there, 6 red cherries and I'm thinking of possibly putting in a betta. The tank is 2ftx1ftx1.5ft. I am really surprised as there has been no algae growth on it at all and the plants are doing great, really great. The cuttings I got off other plants are now at the surface of the water in the space of around a month.

This may sound stupid to some but I'm really shocked that there's been no algae and the plants are growing great.

Do you think a betta would be OK in there? If not then that's fine, I was just thinking it would add a wee bit more life.

Sorry Ian, not at the minute. I use the site from my mobile and putting pictures up will mean going on the PC. I hate going on the PC as the kids load so much rubbish on it that it makes it so slow that I want to throw it in the bin. I will add some pictures tomorrow though.
I was wondering if anyone else done the same? Its only got a cheapy white gravel as substrate, I found it in a bag in the garage (I did wash it well)

I have seen it. Think its great although I'm not a plant person, I like them, would like to know more about them but I don't have a clue about how to go about it.
Was going to make a DIY co2. Got the FE but that's as far as it went, other things come up. My main tank I cannot keep plants in because I have severum.
