I've been having a look around and am thinking about ordering some MARSILEA CRENATA and some GLOSSOSTIGMA ELATINOIDES to try and carpet some sections of my tank. Can anyone recommend any other good ones to have a look at?

Found these two on Greenline, if there are any other good online suppliers out there, please let me know.

nice choices over there :) i think they are high light plants that also require high nutrient needs :p

hmmm how about easier plants ? lilaeopsis species... hmmm hairgrass or maybe dwarf sag if you really want it easy :) but they are not half as pretty as glosso IMHO :)

SAGITTARIA LILEOPTERUS looks good too.

Was thinking about getting a couple, just in case.

I have just over 2.5 WPG and two Nutrafin CO2 kits, although I added one of these a couple of days ago so am waiting for C02 levels to even out before saying for sure where is will end up, I'm hoping for about 20ppm but we'll have to see. Currently have 0 nitrates in the tank which is an issue, but have been adding Nutrafin plant food and am planning on finding some Potassium Nitrate to add, although I think I will need to order it online as none of the local shops (fish / garden centre) seem to stock it

Assuming I keep the ferts up and add manage to get some Nitrates in there, how do you think the Glosso will do?

2nd Glosso question today, popular plant, Glosso needs a lot of light to grow properly, if the light source isnt strong enough Glosso will grow upwards towards the light, if enough light is provided Glosso will grow more compact and spread to make a nice carpet effect, Glosso also likes a nutrient rich substrate.

I would say with 2.5 watts you may be borderline but worth a go, id probably try a small bit first and see what happens rather then spend a lot of cash buying alot of it initially, but get your co2 up and running before you add the Glosso.

Good luck with it.
