So around early NOV I ordered some neocaridina shrimp from a shrimp breeder that came with unnamed moss in shipment. I decided to keep it in case I had a future use for it. Originally I assumed it was java moss but this looks different from the java moss I've kept previously. It also had some other type of plant attached in very small amounts. At first, I thought it was leaves off a Bolbitis plant as they look a little similar to the Bolbitis I have. Now they have grown a little, I know now it isn't a Bolbitis leaf. My first guess is Süsswassertang but I'm still unsure.

So are they Süsswassertang & Java moss??

@CassCats @connorlindeman any ideas?

TIA

That first picture is definitely Susswassertang. I think you are correct. Mixture of Susswassertang and Java.

I don't see susswassertang, but it might be. Your others just look like basic java moss to me. OK in a shrimp tank but a PITA in my other tanks...it attaches to everything!

Definitely sußwassertang and java moss.

I love sußwassertang, such a great plant. If it adapts, it'll grow in like next to no light and grows very well.
