Plants on eBay

Do any of you know any good sellers on eBay for plants? I can't find things like Frogbit and Water Sprite locally. I was thinking about trying eBay, but I have heard all sorts of things, mostly things such as unwanted snails and other microscopic things that could hurt your fish.

So I thought I would ask here to see if any of you had had good experiences buying plants that way and if so could you give me the name of the seller?

I can't remember the names of the other sellers but I'm looking as well. However, I plan on doing an alum bath for any new plants I get in. Some of my recent ones from eBay, while great plants themselves, brought in pests like Hydra and possible planaria. I still cant get rid of these little worm things....and I hope my fish won't die before I can figure out how. (To those reading this, no they are not detritus worms, and yes some planaria are bad). The alum bath will kill snails and their eggs. Just if you use it, make sure the entire plant gets under the water.

I have bought plants from AquaEssentials website, not the cheapest but very good quaility plants and free of snails

Have bought plants and some equipment from them a number of times, never had any issues at all. Worth a look anyway.

BTW hav never bought plants from eBay, for some reason, I just can't bring myself to do that even though are probably fine

I think shipping would make the plants more than i could do from the UK. LOL

And it was the hydra and planaria post that made me ask this question.

I have a place that i have ordered from a few times and i am happy with the plants i get from them
But they dont sell the 2 i mentioned. I will keep looking and thanks!

Aqua bid in the US has some very nice sellers of plants. Their Saturday Night Express sales are a lot of fun too! All auctions are for one hour on the 3rd ( I think) Saturday of the month. All Saturday Night Express auctions are marked "SNE" in the title.

Nearly all the plants in my tanks have come from E-bay. I have generally been very happy with the quality and prices.
