Hey guys,

Basically I have a tank with play sand substrate and I would like to plant some fern and other plants.

I was wondering what low maintenance plants would be good to grow in sand and also some 'carpet' plants that will cover the floor of my tank and spread throughout like half of the tank?

Thanks on advance

ok thanks ill check up on that :)

how about a fern type plant? what do you recommend?

Java fern probably would be a good ideia. But does not go on sand, needs to be attached to rocks or wood.
Carpet plants i think the eliocharis parvula is the easiest one i can remember, but check your setup, its a very easy plant but usually carpets to grow required a good setup to spread over the tank.
But to be honest i have no ideia how parvula would do in playsand.

Ok thanks maybe I'll try a range of different plants and see what works for my set up?
