I haven't fed my plants for about a month now, and they are looking like they need a feed.
I have been doing two weekly water changes of 20%, however the water has been ok midweek so have left it until the weekend.
I appreciate some plants do require feed and I do have some to put in, but also this leave elements in the water not necessarily harmful to the fish but undesirable. There is obviously no point in adding the feed and then doing a water change, but equally adding after a water change could potentially leave in the water for a week :-/
What do you all do? Thanks

For my plants I add Excel every other day and Iron once a week. I do water changes once a week. Plant Additives are harmful to Shrimp and snails (I learned that the hard way) because it has copper , but your fish should be fine.
