Plants covered in algae

Are these plants sackable? They are from my 40 tank with algae problems. They kinda smell

Its definitely some sort of cyanobacteria.

Sometimes algae occurs on plants tht are not getting proper nutrients... Or they are getting too much of a certain nutrient
