Hi All,

After replanting my tank with no tools (a nightmare!) I decided it was time to invest in some good equipment to make my life easier !

Was looking at the Toolkit over at AE

http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.php?...roducts_id=1586

Has anyone used this toolkit? Are they good? Are there any alternatives?

I did find some old posts relating to the same topic, but some of the links were out of date and I know new products appear etc so am reposting :)

Regards,

Craig

£40 for a bunch of tools you can buy much cheaper elsewhere, build your own tool kit, buy it individually and keep them just for your tank :good:

the individual ones are not as good quality, there is some scissors that when using it cuts your fingers. Also, they dont give a clean cut but rather snap the stem which isnt good.

if you are serious about plants then go for it.

I think i could make up a kit that would do the job perfectly for way cheaper than that kit, it would not look as nice but it would proberly do the job just as well, i must say i have no experience with that product, i am just saying its easy to build up your own kit :good:

Thanks for your input all, I have been keeping a high tec planted tank now for about 6 months, whilst its nowhere near as good as you pro's im definately commited and keen to carry on the hobby :)

Think ill look at both options, the make it yaself kit is appealing but im also a sucker for just buying things like that :) Whatever I choose ill come back and let you know how I get on (Whether it being review of the kit or which parts I got from where)

If there is anymore tips please keep them coming & if anyone has used this kit before, could you let me know what its like?

PS - Aaron, Thanks for the links for the ukaps kit, ill send a PM to see if they have any left :)
