Plant Pruning

Hello all...

Was just wondering whats the best way to go about pruning my plants? They are all growing really well, but its just the length. I would like to encourage them to grow out the way too rather than just loads of REALLY long plants.

Any advice is much appreciated, and unfortunately, i dont know the names of all my plants, still quite new to the planted tank.

But the only 1s I DO know are Amazon swords and Fern leaf (i think)

Could put up a pic and we'll be able to help more, the swords and ferns you want to cut off as close to the base of the leaf as you can get. The others I'm sure we can help with a pic .

For all my plants I'm pretty ruthless. I have a sharp pair of scissors and any offending leaf gets cut as close to the base as posible.
