Plant Pots

anyone use little plastic plant pots in there tank, or is it a bad idea

I wouldn't imagine the plastic would sink too well, but terra cotta pots are pretty handy for such purposes... I would just advise that you sand down or plug the drainage hole if necessary-- I have has a curious betta get his head stuck in one, resulting in a nasty scrape.

i just wondered if puttin the plastic in would it some how leak in to the water :S ... just stick a stone on top i reckon would do the job

Yeah you know what they're not technically made for aquariums so they may indeed have some weird chemicals in them. Terra cotta is tried-and-true though. And they are usually less than a buck a pop.
