What is the plant used to the front of tanks that looks like grass please?

Thank you very much Geoff and md, I quite like that plant. :D

You definitely don`t want to be putting vallis in your foreground.

Grass like plants to consider are Eleocharis parvula, Eleocharis acicularis (I consider this more of a mid ground plant), Echinodorus tenellus (get Tropica if you want it to stay low) or Lilaeopsis brasiliensis (mine is growing in to more of a mid ground height, but it can be mown like grass to keep it down).

Utricularia graminifolia is an excellent choice for a really low grassy look.

was just sayin.....

ACTUALLY where I get my plants they use it as a foreground but then again it is a 500 gallon tank with really big plants in it

But yes Dave Spencer is right unless you want really big stuff don't use it as a foreground.

I'd go for dwarf hairgrass (but no-one sells it anywhere near me unfortunately).
