Where can i find this "Last trading post" Seems a real good deal for what you get

first pic could be Indian fern? instead of water sprite? they look alike don't they?

indian fern could be rite as that doesnt look like my wisteria

it looks similar to the Indian fern iv got in my tank... but its rooting from the stem which mines not... its got airel roots but other wise id say its Indian

This Water Sprite is turning rather manky now :/ I lifted one plant out and all the roots have turned black and are rotting :\ What to doooooo :| halp halp.

that willow leaf hygro will grow and grow and grow. I have it in all my tanks now just after a few months of owning it.

Hi mate sorry about your water sprite, whats your lighting set up in the tank and where abouts is the wisteria positioned? It needs a moderateamount of light, and if other plants are placing this plant in the shade then it will rot away. Are you fertilising or low tech set up?

It a real pain when plants don't take :grr:

It gets maximum light, no shade, 2 x 54W T5's equating to roughly 1W per Gallon, 6 hours of light per day, 6 hours of staggered Co2 and EI dosing, 3 x 75ml of macro and 3 x 75ml of trace per week with 1 day rest. That said, i've only just started doing EI in the last few days, prior to that i've been using TPN+. I trimmed the roots of all the plants prior to planting to promote growth.

Your doing everything right then, possibility of snapping the stem sligthly when putting it in the substrate?
Only other reason I could think of really is the ph would affect the growth but wysteria is a pretty durable species, it does prefer the 6.5-7.5 range, try making a cutting of the wysteria and replanting it somewhere else in the tank to see how this grows?

Same happened to me with water sprite, I'd have mostly brown roots and a dead looking plant but I just removed the dead branches to allow new ones to grow and always ended up with a few good long white roots whenever I pulled it up.

I started ripping it out tonight and then i noticed some small plantlets on the tops of some of the branches, so i replanted them like so:

Im not sure what this is, but it seems to be quite a solid plant so far

All the plants at the back are doing ok, two of which have doubled in height.
