Yeh seen his journal and the external reactor. My only trouble with these is that its yet another thing to pipe outside the tank, what with my UV steriliser, a CO2 reactor and external heater, it could get messy and its only a 24lt tank! There would be more water outside the tank than inside! But you're right, they do look good, might get one when I get a bigger tank.

Yeh seen the red danios, they look too red not to be dyed buy Barry said he asked the supplier so guess not.

Good luck with the ferts, its easy once you get into it.

I understand what you are saying about getting every thing under the tank, especially on a small one like yours, i have a fair bit of room as mine is a 4 footer

Thanks for your advice on the ferts, it sure sounds easier enough, they have been sent today had a email from AE.

Have you noticted any difference using a UV steriliser and if so, how does it make a difference, heard so many conflicting storys about them.

To be honest not noticed any difference since adding the UV, but its early days as its only been running a week. I have noticed the water looks clearer but that could just be me!
