Would corys be okay with a plant base instead of sand? Am sick of cleaning my sand daily to make it remotely clean only to wake up to see it messy again :<

Do you mean like a carpeting plant? They would not really appreciate it and would probably make a real mess of it.

No, Like a plant base. As in Flora-Base or something like that

Oh i see, sorry about that. I do not use planting substrates but from what i do know the are usually capped with sand or gravel anyway.

I'd rather not cap it but just have pure planting substrates, Unsure how the coreys would act with it :/

I use JBL Manado with nothing covering it and the corys love rooting through it and have great big long whiskers. Its helpful because its so light that the cories can sift it easily so it does no damage at all.

So your saying its okay to use a plant base with corys? :p

Depends which one :p but personally, I would say yes :) Colombo Florabase would be good too, nice dark substrate that, it feels like silk when you run your hand through it!
