Planning On Adding Another Bulb!

Heya everyone,

This would be the first bit of modding ive done to my tanks and im planning to add another bulb to my tank. My question is. If it's the sort where you get the 2 litle end caps and you slot the bulbs into them, would i be able to just silicone the 2 end caps onto the hood? or would i need to proper fix it in?

Can you not drilk two holes through the hood and use the normal plastic clips to hold the bulbs? I wouldn't silicone the end caps as you'll not be able to get the bulb out!
