Plan Of Action Is This Ok?

Hi all

Right so far 48 gal tank has got gravel,heater a few fake plants,set up of filter spray bar and intake pipe complete with hoses ready to take the external filter.

This is my plan please tell me if this is ok order,thanks

The media in new external filter needs to be rinsed in tap water,i will then rinse it in used tank water because i want to put cycled media into canister by replacing the carbon part of it,therefore carbon out,cycled media in hopefully.
Bag up fish,i got some bags from lfs,3 bags -each one to have harlequins,platies and platy fry
Rest bags on top on new tank,
Meanwhile remove filter media from 2 internals of 20 gal tank and put in new external,attach already set up pipes to it,hopefully i can get it primed and started
Has i don't have many tall plants at the moment i will move across the rest of the fake plants and decor just to fill spaces and let the fish have hiding holes,especially has the male platy is intent on breeding!
Once fish are acclimatised,release them in their new home!

Have i missed anything?

It looks like a decent plan to me. Do you have the heater on in the new tank getting the water in it to the right temperature? Did you remember to dechlorinate the new tank's water?

Heater is on and digi thermometer is reading 26.1 this morning ,yes i did declorinate the water
