Hi,i`ve got 4 glowlight tetra,3 armano shrimp and,3 corries will it be alright to introduce a pitbull pleco as well ,if so are they allright on their own ,at the moment i `ve got a 28 l but going to buy a larger one soon?

They like to be in groups I think. They are very friendly active plecs, a great addition to a tank. I think 28 litres would be a bit small though unfortunately.

Thanks ,thought so ,but as long as they`ll all get along together ,will keep this one in mind for future

They stay pretty small (8cm), one concern is the temp of your tank, they prefer the much cooler end of the spectrum (18-22 being ideal) and like a well oxygenated tank. They are social and like being in a group.

On tank size, I've got a rescued one in my 17L temporate tank, he's been in there quite a while and generally zips around and zooms to where the ehite clouds are (good tank mates).

Cheers.

Hi ,my temp .is 26 ,how many does there need to be together, thanks

I would say lower your temp if possible (glowlights can go down to 24'C, which is fine for the rest too).

A group of 3-7 seems best (a bit like cories) and they will shoal with cories too.

Though, despite me having a single one, I don't think you or I have room for a group....

28L is way too small for a group of Pitbull Pleco's, I wouldn't go any smaller than 60 Litres for a group of them.

Hi Standby setting,
Was thinking of getting a 60 l,would this be alright for the following.
[ got at moment] 4 glowlight tetra,
3 armano shrimp,
3 corries[2 bronze,1 albino]
with new tank
extra 3 corries,bronze,
extra 2 glowlight tetra ,
3 pitbull pleco

Try stretch to a 90 litre maisy, its a good size and offers a far FAR better experience for the owners. Replacing a small tank with a small tank just doesnt seem worth the effort. Of course if you have space restrictions i totally understand.

Thanks for all your replies ,what does everything think of the quality of interpet tanks ,as i saw a 64l one in pets at home for £119,is this good value?

You can do better, a longer tank is generally better, clearseal do good tanks, they're cheap, good looking, but you will need to buy additional equipment, and it will probably work out cheaper than the interpet kit.

Yes ,£119,does seem a bit dear ,and it was £50 for the cabinet!
