Did anyone watch Piranha Adventure on Discovery Channel tonight? I don't know if it's been on before but it was on at 2300 UK time.

It's repeated on Saturday at 1800 if anyone missed it. Worth a watch, seeing Piranhas spawning, young fry, predators (inc. big beetles and Keyhole cichlids!).

EXTREMELY interesting, very well put together. I enjoyed it very much, they had some great footage in there, and showed the hardships piranhas had to go through and displaced any myths regarding them aswell. The whole dead lamb thing was weird though =\

Totally agree. I suppose a lot of us are guilty about some of the preconceptions about the Piranha. It was very interesting and the footage was as good, if not better than the 'extras' on the BBC DVD I bought. I still think they're pretty dull aquarium fish though but I suppose that's because we don't get to see them shoaling properly. Unfortunately they get a bad rap from some of the sick videos on you tube that continually crop up too. Still it was great to see what the little blighters have to go through to reach adulthood and even if they do, there are plenty of predators around ready to gobble them up!

Great programme and hopefully I'll remember to set the recorder to tape it next time it's on.

Yes it has been on before and I missed it then too
