Hi All,

The 15mm plastic push fit pipe & push fit connectors you get from B&Q, is this fish safe to use long term for plumbing does anyone know?

It should be fine, just avoid the copper bits.

I use PVC overflow pipework on my tanks, with some speedfit 22mm stuff (the stop ends fit the overflow pipe nicely).

Any plastic pipework used for domestic water uses can be classed as aquarium safe. As mentioned, just be aware of any metal components.
