Those are just gold rams. Pretty fish too, ive seen some around here that have tints of pink to them.
I always rely on dorsal fins when sexing
EDIT: shoud've read more carefully.
If you want to get a pair, buy 3 or 4 and see if a pair comes out of them, then take the rest back, easiest way to do it.

I don't think they look anything like gold rams :/
This is (was) one of my gold rams and it looks nothing at all like those above.

The Pink rams don't do it for my.

Gold rams aren't usualyl my cup of tea either, but bloozoo, that's a cool shot.

Went to the lfs again after work and decided against getting some.

They actually had three types of Ram in the tank.

They had a pair of Ballon gold rams (not my cup of tea)

They then had some regular gold rams

and then the long fin pink rams

I will get a female blue from my other lfs tomorrow.

Over here in the UK they dont let you do that....or they dont at the LFS' I've been to!! Once you buy a fish it's your's...they will quite often "re-home" a fish for you, but they wont give you any money back for it!!

It all comes down to the breeder and supplier IMO. Some like to keep the standard Gold Ram(Like your one, very nice Ram btw  ) And some like to breed them for extra long fins and feed them colour enhancing foods(i sometimes feed them that kind of food) so they get extra appeal from customers.
Heres mine that looks like one of those
