I have 50 Cardinal Tetras in my tank now (for those of you who remember my troubles, i got them sorted and added 50 new ones on Friday). My tank is fine, parameters are great etc etc.

Question is, although about 90% of the fish look bright in colour with their defined stripes, a couple look pink in colour from a distance. Its not until i get up close i can see that they just dont have such defined stripes, but they do still have cardinal markings. Their belly looks more transparent than the ones with the strong colours, which is creating the pink look i think.

So, why is this? Are they ill? They still swim and look healthy!

You'll normally find they do this as they settle in. Once they have settled they should colour like the rest of them.

I bought 40 in december and mine looked the same. once settled they look great.

congrats :good:

My Cardinals went more into a white toothpaste :hyper: colour and stayed like that for a couple of days.

Thats ok then! For the most part, they look great already, it is just a couple that look pink!

Thanks for the help
