Pineconing!help

one of my oaps who has been quiet lately..I think...is pineconing...is it catching as he is in a split tank! can someone answer quickly please...

From what I've read dropsy isn't contagious itself, however the bacteria that causes it is contagious.

thanks I have left the poorly one in tank and taken other one out..
