This is Chicken Tender the Platy :) He shares a 55 gallon tank with a hatchling RES turtle, small Common Pleco, and small Comet Goldfish. So basically this guy lives a happy life. This guy is so hard to catch on camera!! Much less in a good picture!

Looks nice not my favourite fish.

Just got to ask why you have a goldfish(a coldwater fish) in with tropical fish?

:good:

Hey thanks JayJay,

Well there are cool parts in the tank ;) The Goldy seems happy there :)

The platy is lovely...

Tropical and coldwater shouldn't really be mixed :/ Although in some cases it does work.

Do you not find the goldfish trying to nibble the plec?

How bigs your tank?

Is he food for the turtle? Judging by his name you'd think he was!

Or heres a good idea, Trade in all those fish for lots of female bettas and make a sorority tank like I explained on another thread. Lol just kidding I like that set up but you should really think about getting a few more platys. They are schooling arent they?

Oaky thanks guys. My Goldfish doesn't do anything infact I think they've become friends because they hang out together a lot. Are they a schooling fish? If so Ill get another one ... The tank is 55 gallons and no he isn't food ($5 is a bit expensive for food!), lol its better than Fish Stick, that would be just plain mean! lol

Mmmm, Fish Sticks

goldfish are not strickly cold water, people just asume that as people keep them in cold ponds. gold fish are quite happy in either warm or cold water. the only down side is they grow faster and crap alot more in warmer water. nice fish buddy. i only have one platy left as i fed the rest to my arowana lol. how big doe the turtles get?

lol Thanks Rust!

The RES Turtle which is the one I have grows to be 10-12" The male about 10" and females up to 12" ;)
