A nice tank IMHO, but which could look considerably better if:
1) you replaced that picture-of-plants backing with just black
2) lost the grey washing machine tubing.

yes i agree,

is it necassery for you to have the spraybar for the external?

cant u just use the normal output??

adam

apart from it looking a little empty, its looks good! are you planning on adding any more fishes in?

1, I do plan to replace the backing, seen some cork/bark effect backing that i want to use. not quite the same as black i know, but less fake looking than the planted one (which was already on the tank and i had to set it up in a bit of a rush as i was getting the girls the next day. ) and it provides a nice contrast.
2, when i manage to bully my boyfriend into cutting extra holes in the lid the spraybar can come from the opposite end, which will mean less visible tubing. but not willing to get rid of the filter. :p

the reason i have the spraybar extension is to reduce the surface turbulence, to provide a calm placid environment for my bettas. So its not totally necessary, but they seem to like it that way.

thanks, :) i plan on adding at least another 8 girls later probably a few more khuli loaches and see how that goes. maybe more girls if it looks like it could support it. also planning to add a few more types of plants (low foreground and riccia)and hoping the plants will bush out a bit, making it look more full too.
looks good enough for me mate...
Thanks :D

nice looking start, and a good plan to look forward to for your tank :good:
