The bettas belong to my 12 year old daughter. She raised almost every betta pictured. I know that after the Texas IBC show some of the folks that won got mentioned but Jamie won everything in the novice division except for a 2nd and a 3rd in one class. In the Florida show she did nearly as well. I think I have some pics of fish that she raised and will post them shortly. As far as the number of tanks I really don't know. We have a few more in the house also. I have raised fish off and on for the last 33 years and this is by far the easiest setup that I have ever had. I change 200 gallons of water a night (I raise discus). It takes me less then an hour to do. Jamie ususally spends about 45 minutes a night changing her betta water. If the new tank setup works as well as I think it will I may built her some more. A 4 by 8 sheet of acrylic will yield three 5 foot tanks so I will build her either 3 or 6 more. Each 3 tank unit will house 36 bettas.

Is that room full of fish, or is there anything else in there.. as it makes me wonder why people have one room full of tanks, when they arent going to be in there all the time, so wouldnt you rather fewer tanks around the house so you see them more often?

Some fish are pictured more then once and yes my picture taking and my camera both suck.......

luke e we have tanks in the house also. The nice thing about a fishroom is it really saves a lot of time for someone that really raises a lot of fish. This year I have raise 3000+ discus, several hundred killfish and some assorted other types. I do not know how many bettas Jamie has raised but her average spawn is probably 250 fry and she has had secveral this year.

Dude, that's a lot of fish! And that volume just screams "FISHROOM" or it wouldn't be feasible. You raise for profit, I'm assuming? Nice to see you back in bettas!

It is just a bad hobby for me....LOL. Don't get me wrong It does pay for itself with a little surplus...unless you work for the IRS and then it never makes a dime....LOL.
