Never ever ever ever  Love these fish, the babies will of course be on sale once they are ready to go though ;)

You could possibly have one

Ive got the pair in a 33g presently, they are only 2.5", but will reach 6" full grown.

Ive ordered the same tank you have as a grown out for the fry once they are large enough to move, but long term they need a 33g minimum I guess.

Curious about these hun and i may aswell ask in here instead of opening a new thread :), would these be suited to a rio125 for life? and how many could you?, would they destroy a planted tank? ie eat them lol uproot them?

And lastly how agressive are they?, what tank m8's could you add with them? bearing in mind it will be a rio 125

They are stunning hun :)

these are a type of firemouth right? what their temperament like?

Nice rams cool color.

Not rams mate, thorichthys aureus, relative of the firemouth cichlid :)

Well I have the pair in a roma 125 same as the juwel 125 in size, so you could get away with two, either a pair or 2 of either sex, they are extremely peaceful cichlids, except when spawning, they were extremely protective of their first batch of eggs/fry, hence the reason they are now alone, aside from the fact that the others in the rio 400 ate the fry  Not overly sure how they are on plants, as I dont have any, I would imagine like most cichlids they will uproot some when digging around. Max out around 6" btw. Tankmates would be pretty much anything peaceful, they were with corydoras, rasboras, rainbows as well as larger cichlids.
