No worries, I'll be following with interest, in such a small tank you've done a really really nice job....just find some new plants that will survive

Some Vallis would work well I think and grow very easily in a low-tech setup (i.e. no co2 or ferts)

I think those green and white varigated plants will do nicely in a small garden around the house border. Has anyone tried this? WD

Come to think of it they do look like some of the plants my grand parents used to have around the house...

Yup, they look like plants that I used to have in my house... I think they're the ones if they get really big they grow these big stems and loads of new little plants come off them.

I can't believe so many fish stores sell non aquatic plants

I'm Going back to my LFS 2moro and hopefully get to the bottom of them selling non aquatic plants, I'm currently looking for and LED upgrade for the Hallogen lights that come with it, i dont think they are very bright for live plants. Hopefully getting fish in there soon.

I would hope you can swap the plants for something suitable...I assume they knew what you were using them for?

There has been a little success using LEDs for plants but not much, I would steer clear for now, it can be expensive and go well or cheap and be a disaster.

Are there no mini tubes you can use with it? I know the tank has limited space for lighting so it will be a problem I think.

I did see someone using LEDs for a Marine setup in your tank, but that's not really the same as for planted freshwater....might be worth posting a new topic on the subject...

Yes they knew they were for my tank, I bought all the plants together, the hallogens are pretty bright, I will see how it goes with them for now, maybe do a bit of reasearch on the mini tubes. Thanks again
