Nobody's ever seen my tanks... there are a few reasons for that... I don't have a decent camera and I didn't think they were very good, but now I'm gonna try...
I decided to remove my betta from my 29 gallon and give him his own 5 gallon home. But I wasn't happy with the plastic 4-gallon critter keeper I was keeping him in awhile ago. So I got a brand new 5.5 gallon glass tank. I tried to take pictures and they didn't come out well because the lighting is kind of bad, but here it is. It actually looks much nicer in real life but since the lighting is bad and the camera is bad... well here is my attempt. You can't even see Mr Betta.... he's in the top right corner I believe.
The tank is now a bookend for my desk
I wonder how he would feel about that if he knew what he's doing on my desk.. lol...
In the bottom left corner you can see my homemade sponge filter... yay!
And now for the cool stuff...
In my 29 gallon I got some sterbai corydoras today
I was trying to hold out until the shop got some bronze corys because I fell in love with them... but they never have any. And I was getting sick of checking every week only to find nothing. So they had some very nice sterbais... so I got them
they are quite pretty I must say... now my 8 harlequin rasboras have friends! I think they were getting lonely, though they must be the dumbest fish in the world... they are fun, but honestly, no matter what happens they are constantly swimming around the tank. I don't know how they do it. It's like they're robots!
So piccies...
Here is my tank, full shot:
Almost all of those plants are fake (silk). There are a couple of java ferns in the front near the rocks but that's all. I like the look of a well-planted tank but don't want to have to deal with CO2 and blah blah blah... I've researched it and honestly seems like too much work for a university student.
Corys!!!! I has 6 of them.
Now my 29 gallon is stocked with:
8 harlequin rasboras
6 corydoras sterbai
What else should I put in it? I don't want to overstock but I do want more fish? Can I have a shoal of cardinals or would that be too much?
