new tank looks perfect for pair and eggs. Any eggs that survive in community will eventually get picked off and eaten by other fish so need to be in own tank to survive. A sponge filter is best to raise tiny fry, when they hatch daily water changes are needed so a smaller tank makes it easier. I have used a wire mesh round my cones to stop parents eating eggs, works well. Also have baby brine shrimp or ready to use decapsulated baby brine shrimp eggs handy to feed 3-4 days after hatching, they will feed off parents before then and for a while after
