Ok, I'll try to keep it short. My tank as per signature has quite a big ph swing during the day owing to injected co2. It drops from 6.4 to 5.5. So, what do I do about, if anything? Fish are fine, discus regularly spawning. So why the question you may wonder. Well, my ro is coming out at 6.9, I them re- mineralise it using pro discus mineral. I'm aware that the water for changes is higher ph than the tank, so in effect I'm creating a bigger swing. Do I get some hydrochloric acid and match the ph to the tank, or will that possibly cause even a greater swing when the co2 kicks in?
Or, as I often do, am I over-thinking this a bit as there are no obvious issues in my tank......or mild ones I'm not aware of. I've had no fish losses or illness this year. Thanks for looking.
