I've been here before.

Nothing seems to be working.

I've taken previous advice and have strayed away from using any chemicals in the tank, opting instead to carry out weekly/fortnightly water changes.

My normal changes are 33%.

The last 2 changes I've changed 50%.

The Ph level is still reading little over 7.

The Fish themselves seem fine and there have been no "losses".

Feeding them standard "sink" food every 3 days, a pinch.

Any suggestions ?

IN THE TANK:

Jewell 40 gallon. (started type tank).
3 Clown Barbs
2 Gold Platties
2 Plectos

Thanks.

What is the ph reading of your tap water?
My tanks are reading 7.2 and I dont have many problems.

:) ph is usally better left alone just as long as the ph remains stable. You really don't need a certain ph for fish unless you intend to breed because will adjust :D
