i just bought some pH booster because the ph of our tap water has lowered to 6.5 and sometimes lower, does anyone know how much i need to add to raise it to 7.0?
and btw the atnk is for breeding a pair of kribs and the other is community

i would refraim from using chemicles. large swings in ph im more harmgull than the ph being at the wrong level. for cichlids there is certain substrates u can use. ask in the african cichlid section for more help on that. as for the community, as long as they are used to being at that ph level that u have they will be fine. again i would refraim from using chemicles

yeah i know all that, but the tap water is off and chemicals are a last resort, because everytime i do a water change fish die due to the ph swing, can someone plz just help me use this stuff?

the only thing i can think of is to use RO water rather than tap. why is there ph swings when u are doing partials. if you have always been using the same tap water then the ph should be nearly the same unless you have somthing in the tank that alters the ph ie peat, certian substrates etc.

there are ph swings because the tap water changes ph all the time, nothing i can help. ive already bought this stuff so i just want to use it now

I agree with modernhamlet, ph boosters are very difficult to use and every time you do a water change you will lower your ph and so will always have to be adjusting it which will be a stressful buisness for the fish.
Depending on what type of fish you have, unless you have any particualy fragil ones i would avoid messing with the ph as most fish will be able to cope with your tap water ph swings.
