Ph And Shrimp

My pH is about 6.0 or less.. is that ok for my ghost shrimp? I read somewhere that ghost shrimp don't like the lower pH. They seem alright but I did have one die today.

I stopped messing with the pH because I think the product I was using to keep my pH at 7.0 was stoping my tank from cycling. I put fish in before I knew about cycling so I am using Prime to detoxify ammonia, and nitrites so my tank wil cycle it seems to be working. My tap water is at 6.0 should I buy water that has a neutral pH. Is there such a thing?

hmmmm i use rain water for all my tanks. do u have any it would be great if u did. it took a whole day for the rain water to get to 28 degrees celcius so next time i boiled about 1/3. was a lot quicker
