Pfk Subscription Gift Problems

i got an e-mail and spams etc, and they said wait til around christmas, and i think its harsh that some of you are ranting on about pfk when you dont even know the full story (for gods sake some dont even seem to realise what pfk is before they start having a moan) and tbh youve got nothing to blame them for, they said while stocks last.

im not blaming PFK im blaming Greatmagazine for saying one week i was getting the tank and the next that im not so they lied !

Did you have to take out a subscription in order to qualify for or atleast be in the running for one of the tanks on offer. Presumably you would only have taken out the subscription specifically for this purpose. If you dont get/qualify for one of the giveaways then do you have the option to cancel your subs. Seems like a shrewd marketing ploy on behalf of the publication to drum up more sales.

i understood their was limited stock you see so tht is why i rang to see whether one was reserved and pfk have said yes and greatmagazines said yes, i rang when it wasnt deliverd on the due date and greatmagazines said that they have run out of stock and are very sorry !!!

If the story is as you have detailed above then IMO I believe the mag should offer you a runner up prize as it were, after all they are trying to gain custom not loose it.

they did tetra fish food goody bag which i don't feel is of equal value and i still think i am getting one i just don't think they know if i am because pfk said im on the mailing list and have sent me a conformation email but greatmagazine say im not who to belive is the question ???

Miles, email PFK themselves, they are the one dealing with the tanks, not great magazines. If you got an email stating you were getting the tank, then you are, if not then obviously they must of made a mistake saying yes, and most likely, your not.

Dear all
Great Magazines do not have a list of the people that will receive the tank, they are a contact centre that deal with literally hundreds of different magazines. I have the list and you can contact me directly at stuart.webster@emap.com
I contacted the majority of people who will be receiving a tank and some of you have been kind enough to contact me to thank me for that information.
I said in that email that we are doing everything in our power to get the tanks out before Christmas, but some of them would be delivered in early January - I still stand by that and we are working closely with the manufacturer to get these tanks to you.
We do not have a stock of extra tanks and I think we have been as fair as we can be by doing this on a first come first served basis. Therefore if you have receive a letter from me stating that you are not getting a tank and offering an alternative this is because I have no more tanks to give.
