Has anyone else got the email to someone saying that they'd have to swap their gift for something else? My mum has emailed Stuart Webster to find out what's up. (as the subscription is in her name.)

I completely understand the fact that PFK received an obviously over-whelming response to their nano tank offer, but I'm going to have to ask for a refund as I paid by Debit Card so I actually paid a little towards the tank as well, and the 2 other offers don't really cut it.

Who did you hear this information from? Has Stuart himself told you this, or someone else from Pfk? Or are you going by that email that was sent to everyone?

If you check, that email was a reply from great magazines, the people who deal with the subscription, NOT the tank. From what i've heard the subscription people dont have a clue about what is going on with the tanks, who is receiving one and who isnt. The only person you can get a straight answer from is Stuart. The subscription people seem to be giving out misleading information, several people have been told by them they wont be receiving one, but in actual fact they will.

If you are unsure, contact Stuart Webster. Dont contact the subscription people.

Until I have PFK contact me and say it isn't going to happen, then I'll be sat waiting patiently for it to arrive, hopefully before Christmas , if not then in January.

It'll be interesting to see how many people that need to get this tank right now will actually have it set up before Christmas if they get it .

I certainly wont be setting it up before xmas, so I'm happy to wait until the new year

I stupidly went by hearsay on this forum due to being told the stock had been exhausted, without receiving any email notifying me of this, and went ahead and emailed Stuart asking for a refund.

But Stuart has kindly emailed back regarding the tank situation and has assured me as I was on the list i should receive a tank. Just for reference, I ordered my subscription on 8th Oct, so if PFK are distributing these on a first-come-first-serve basis then hopefully anyone else that ordered on or before that date should be ok.

Stuart also reminded me that they did state in a previous email that stocks were going to take until Dec/Jan to send out - so i think the main thing is to just be patient, especially if you havn't received an email telling you to choose another subscription offer.

Yep, I got a reply too telling me to just wait and it'll come in good time. Looks like all will be fine after all!

To the hundreds of you that are emailing me on a daily basis a very exhausted Stuart says; 'If I told you you are getting a tank you will get one. I worked really hard to get some out in early December and this seems to have caused some of you concern as all of the tanks haven't gone out at the same time.
The tanks are being sent out on a first come first served basis and I expect another 240 to go out late this week if not early next. If you are not in when the courier delivers your tank, s/he will put a card through your door telling you who to contact to arrange another delivery. As the tanks are not being sent out by me I can not give you a specific date of when your tank will arrive.

Some of you will have heard that some tanks arrived broken, I have spoken to the supplier to get the tanks packaged better to reduce this problem. If you get a broken tank let me know and I will tell the supplier for you to get you a replacement.
Finally can you please stop emailing all the other people on the list. Some people are really unhappy about this.
and finally finally if someone other than me tells you you are getting something other than your tank, please I urge you from the bottom of my heart to ignore them.

Please also bear in mind that I work on three other magazines and am therefore not always at my desk, therefore i can't always reply to people on the same day as you email me.

poor Stuart... sounds like you folks are just running him ragged! of course, now that i've seen some pics of the tank, i can really see why everyone wants one so badly... makes me feel like asking for new equipment for Christmas.

As for the numbskulls hitting the reply to all button on the email, I'm thinking this is unsolicited email with no option to opt out it's SPAM and a quick email to their ISP reporting them as spammers should slow it down somewhat and maybe lose one or two of these irritating people their internet access for a while

Yep, the biggest problem I have with the situation is those endless e-mails...!!! There's not much that can be done about it now, by PFK or Great Magazines, or Stuart or anyone else, unless they can invent a time machine to undo the first mistake.
I'm really excited about getting the tank, but really, it's obvious that Stuart is doing the best he can to get them out as soon as possible. The delay isn't the end of the world really, and I think everyone has been assured enough that it's a question of when you get them, not if.
