Peru Orange Cory

Hi just seen these corys in my lfs, the problem is they only have 3 and dont know if any more coming in. Ive got 6 sterbai and 6 albino cory, im wondering if they would be ok being only 3 in the group. Does anybody else keep mixed groups of corys that havent got at least 6 of each. My albinos are very active all over the tank and spawning all the time i wonderd if they would hang out together.My sterbai just hide under bogwood and in coconut cave all day and come out at night so i dont think they will be any good at keeping the new guys{ if i get them} company.Also anybody got these cory they are £7.50 each or two for £13 at this shop. I have 2 Albinos, 2 Pandas and 1 Pepper cory and they all seem to be happy.

I recently purchased Venezualen Corys at 9.95 each :huh:

But worth every penny. They are very social and all my corys love lying with each other.

I would say go for them if you want them.

A trio of corys wont hurt, i have a few trios myself.

Most of my cory's are a mixed bag, for ages I could only get 2 pygmy's but they hung out with the (in comparioson) mammoth Peppereds, so I would say a trio would be ok and if you ever can get any more get a couple, or if the other ones spawn and you raise the fry keep a couple of their fry for your trio.

I have a trio of albino and 5 peppered. They don't hang out with others of the opposite species though. My albinos are very active and dont really hang out together much in the tank except to breed. The 5 peppered are much shyer and stick together.

I suppose what I'm saying is you can't predict how a group will behave in a trio. I would get all three though, and if they don't seem to have settled in after a good month, try sourcing some more.
