Anyone know anything about periwinkle snails? I have some wild cought periwinkles that currently have their own 5 gallon saltwater tank. They are 'supposed' to be able to live in saltwater, brackish water, or freshwater...whenever I've tested them in my freshwater tank however, they stay locked up tight in their shells. As soon as I put them back in saltwater they open upend start foraging. Can I acclimate them to freshwater? If not, I guess they'll remain in their own tank until I can return them to their natural home. By the way - I quarantined them for 4 months before trying them in my tank since they are wild.
