Hiya,

Today i noticed something different about one of my peps, i took a closer look and underneith it where its flipper things are their are tiny little balls.

Obviously these are eggs.

Does anyone know how to get them to spawn and also how to get some of them to suvive if not most?

Thanks.

Everything is normal in my tank except the phosphrates are alittle high whitch will be delt with the next water change.

I have a False Gramma in my nano which the peps are in would i need to move the pep with eggs to a seperate tank with a undergravel filter or no filter?

Thanks for any help! :)

My cleaner shrimp does this about once every month or two. She carries the eggs for a few days, then they slowly disappear from her abdomen. Since she's in there solo, I think it's unlikely that any baby shrimp would ever appear. It makes me sad, but she attacks and kills all the other shrimp I've ever put in there, so I guess she's stuck being alone. Maybe she's happier this way. :)

I think it's very hard to raise shrimp in captivity. They need to eat very small food sources to stay alive. I haven't heard of anyone doing this in a tank, however if you have any luck I'm sure we'd all appreciate any info on your success.
