Tank has two airstones and is lightly planted.

One of my peppered corys (2 only at the moment, increasing them this week) has for the last 12 hours been particularly inactive - just sitting at one side of the tank - this morning its just sitting on a plant hardly moving even when other fish come near...

The other cory's are all fine as are the rest of the fish. No differences in colouration or obvious sign of injury/disease on the cory I'm concerned about.

Both the peppered cory's are greedy little so and so's so are getting enouhg found (too much food?).

Hi,

I just lost a cory yesterday displaying the same symptoms, even on insepction after death there appeared nothing really wrong with him. Not knowing the history of the fish, I've put it down to old age.

How old is your cory? Is it possible it's just his time to go?

Not sure I've only had him about 5 months....

Seems to be fine now so might have just been feeling down ;)

My cories do that sometime, although mine are nicely plump, cause their like little piggies! They just like to rest sometimes on the bottom.

Glad yours is doing better!! :good:

What is the temp in your tank? Mine get lazy if it gets too warm.

I'm going to go and buy a new thermometer tomorrow (I've set the heater to 24) - the one the tank came with is actually above the waterline - its one of those sticky strip things.

Anyway I had the chance of getting 3 more peppered's today.... everyone has now perked up - my small syno eup's took one look at the mad behaviour of the cory's and went back to their cave
