no co2 which is the amazing thing

for light 1 arcadia freash water and one arcadia original tropical tank.

gf225 - what is it that gets used up between water changes?

I'm hopeing a new stricter regime of water changes will transform the tank... and bring everything back into line

tap water contains trace elements and co2, hence they pearl after a water change however not enough in the water alone to sustain it over time.

you still need enough light to make them pearl, combined with a water change.

how many wpg do you have ( i assume this is the 190L planted tank in your profile)

just means your plants are visibly giving off oxygen, meaning you're doing something right as an aquascaper
