They say it dosn't effect the filer, but it can knock it abit.

I will give it a little bit. I added another female gourami and rearranged my tank. Hopefully that will take the constant chase on the one female away. I curse who ever it was that told me pearls won't chase other pearls! I seeded my tank with more goldfish filter bacterial sludge. I will monitor ammonia with two tests a day. if her condition gets worse I shall treat the tank.
