Painting A Lid?

I have just bought a 7gal for my new betta, and I'm really happy with it except for one thing - the colour of the lid. It's bright blue and bright green! Obviously as its only a small tank the lid is plastic - is there anything I can do to change the colour? Like paint it or something??

my guess would be that the lid is made of plastic so u'd have to be careful on what u paint it will. some paints (i'm not sure which) corrodes the plastic. acrylic paint should do fine. make sure none of the paint gets into contact with the tank.
