Well pacu is a characin fish,so try that part of the forum,there would be to many sub forums if each fish had its own section...

What is it you would like to know about these huge fish? They are beautiful fish but need a huge tank better still a tropical pond to live out a full and happy life

I have 2 of them, in a 55 gal tank. they are about a foot long, and they will be relocated to a 135 gal tank in the next couple weeks. Just want to see what's compatible with them, they have turned carnivorous for some reason and will not take anything other than "meat/fish" products

you will need to upgrade the tank also from the 135g......think along the lines of a 250us plus id say...

Think these fish usually max out around three feet,yes that big....I have a friend who i met collecting some very large tinfoil barbs from me that outgrew my 150g tank....

He goes around the uk rescueing fish that have grown too big,he told me that my tinfoil barbs were like little tetra's compared to the pacu's he rescues....And my tins were around 13+inches and they looked cramped in my tank...

Just a heads up,if you cant provide them with a large tank, rehome them quickly before your stuck
