Overstocked?

everyone belives something else. some belive 3 like yourself some belive 5 i belive 6 like most shoaling fish are reccommend to be in 6's.

:good:

Cories don't shoal though. I've kept them for the 4 years i've been fish-keeping and have NEVER had them shoal. I would however, make the number of cories to at least 3, to help keep your tank clean! :D

to help keep your tank clean!

that's not how it works, they need to be fed aswel they add their own waste to the tank so they can't be classed as a cleanup crew or the like. infact they will likely starve if you don't feed them yourself. and they are proun to bacterial infections caused by rotting food which they won't eat. and they love the company of their own kind i used to have 25 cories and they all sat on the substrate together then swam of in groups or together.

i could of sworn common plecs get to 24inches (not like that website said 10inches) ??? and sailfins get to 18inches well mine got to 15inches before it caught a disease.

:good:

Nope, there are two species of common plecs- one only gets to a maximum of 12inchs (usually just 10inches though), while the other gets to a maximum of 18inches (this is a rarer type of common plec though in general now days). I think there is also more than one species of sailfin as well?

well i read it everywhere that they grow 24inches books internet etc. but i've now learnt something new!
