Over Stocking?

I understand that you may want a gorgeous tank in your room, everyone who keeps fish does. But you have to put the health and wellbeing of the fish before your own viewing pleasure. You won't get much enjoyment out of seeing lots of fish cramped into a tiny tank anyway. It's far better to have a beautiful fighter, maybe spend a little extra on him to get a really beautiful one and I'm sure it'll pay off.

true will a fancy guppie mix with a fighter (id need somewhere to move the guppie and the other tank has a fighter in it)

No, you should never keep guppies and fighters together. The fighter will see the guppies brightly coloured long flowing tail and think that it is another male fighter and aggression will most likely arise. The guppy will most likely get its fins torn to shreds.

so if i moved my neon down to my bigger tank (it will take it easily) have a guppie and 10 microrasbora? would that be over stocked or about right? ... also where can i get some i dont think my LFS sells them... altho im sure i could order some via them...

I was always under the impression that microrasboras need 40 litres+ for 10?

I just took a look at that size tank online. It's worse than I imagined. All that height is wasted space. What really matters is surface area. I would not house fish in there, other than a single Betta like others mentioned. I might have a slightly different opinion if the tank was longer and lower, rather than shorter and higher. A Betta and some really nice aquatic plants would look great in there.

i personally wouldn't be a supporter of the microrasbora idea in a 20L but make your own judgement on that. I think 30L is the bare minimum for fish apart from fighters.

10 is definitely pushing it, other option could be a pair of killifish?

maybe 5 - 7 then? i quite like them now iv found them to be honest... i might stick some in my 3F tank
